STYLED SHOOT - Sustainability, Pastels... and Sheep.

Romance & planet friendly options in a brand new venue…

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The Lake District is famous for its epic scenery, welcoming locals and exciting adventure options. The dramatic fells and stunning lakes have been the scene for many 'popping the question' moments and beautiful wedding celebrations. A new venue has opened perfect for such celebrations, Barn in the Fells. This family owned farm has moved the sheep out and have been busy creating a unique space for some glorious, rural events.

One day we gathered the best of the best in the Old Barn and created a scene filled with not just some pretty details but also some locally sourced, sustainable options. Its important to highlight that a wedding can be planet friendly such as hiring not buying, local not shipped in, seasonal and natural. (Find some options and suppliers here).

This shoot was also styled to showcase the beautiful Lakeland slate that covers the barn. Pastels blend well while enhancing a beautiful eye catching table setting, not stealing from the massive beams and wonderful lighting.

The models showcased romance and flirty humour, even getting some attention from a newborn lamb! Szintia and Chris took to their first modelling experience with ease, bringing love and laughter to the day. Szintia looked stunning, matched perfectly with Chris's effortless poise. The outfits, from Carol's Bridal Boutique, were chosen to stand out against the strong lines of the barn and surrounding fells.

I am thrilled to be able to finally share this place! The family are easing themselves into the world of weddings and this day was a great way to really show them how fab their place is! The main persona at the farm is Hogg who commented,

“I cant believe our old barn can look this good! Great to see all the hard work and jaw dropping results. Its was such a laugh meeting everyone and we cant wait to get cracking with weddings here!”

If you want to know more about the barn, the team or the availability either get in touch with me or check out the venue’s website. There is still work to do but tours are available by appointment and keep an eye on their social media for updates.
